Every once and a while I come across a pasta recipe that seems so simple, but the results are truly remarkable. While in Italy last year, I came to find that the simplest of pastas were the best; made from just a few quality ingredients, these sorts of pastas packed the most flavor and are the ones that I remember vividly. This recipe, courtesy of Martha Stewart Living is just that and more. Whole wheat strands of spaghetti tossed with garlic, red pepper flakes, olive oil, strips of collard greens, lemon, pine nuts, and salty Pecorino cheese. A unique and unforgettable pasta that is fresh and full of bright flavors.

My favorite really simple one you had mentioned that I tried for the first time a few months ago is the one with just black pepper and cheese. Yum!
Yes! Cacio e Pepe….mmm. Another of my favs is garlic, red pepper flakes and olive oil. Delicioso! 🙂
