As much as I love smoked salmon I honestly think I like smoked trout even more. With a firmer and flakier consistency, smoked trout is perfectly salty and is a lovely addition to brunch dishes and a multitude of quick-and-easy appetizers. This one hailing from Martha Stewart Living magazine was described as a perfect paring to a gin martini. With a gin martini in hand, I took one bite of this super simple appetizer of sliced cucumbers and smoked trout and was hooked. This is a perfect go-to nibble for a cocktail party or to stave off those pre-dinner tummy grumblings.
