Goat Cheese & Walnut Crostini
Ingredients:
- 1 baguette, sliced into ½-inch rounds
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 4 oz. herbed goat cheese, room temperature
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Watercress, for garnish
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Drizzle a touch of olive oil over each slice of bread. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 7 minutes or until crisp and golden brown. Place the room temperature goat cheese and the walnuts in a small mixing bowl. Combine with a spatula until the walnuts are fully incorporated. Spread the goat cheese mixture over the crostini and top with watercress. Finish the crostini off with a grinding of black pepper before serving.
