Even if you consider yourself more of a cook than a baker, every once and a while it is very rewarding to make homemade bread. Whether in the form of a yeast-based dough, a simple quick bread, or in this case simple herb-flavored dinner rolls, homemade bread impresses and delights both the baker and the taste testers. I liked this recipe for homemade dinner rolls for a couple of reasons: 1) they use fresh herbs from the garden (I used thyme because I had a lot of fresh thyme, but rosemary or sage would work well, too) and 2) to get the desired moist texture, these tasty dinner rolls have creamy yogurt in the batter. Baked in muffin tins and decorated with the fresh herbs, these rustic rolls are a nice addition to any dinner menu you are planning for this week!
