What a simple way to add a bit of pizazz to a bag of baby carrots. My Orange-Glazed Carrots is a simple and utterly delectable way to enjoy those small orange gems we all know and love. Tender carrots cooked in a mixture of orange juice and the reduction thickened with a bit of butter and sugar, this side dish is a wonderful pairing of simple ingredients that really work wonders on your taste buds.

Orange-Glazed Carrots
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. baby carrots
- ½ cup orange juice
- 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Fresh chives, snipped for garnish
Directions:
- Place the carrots in a large saucepan and cover with water. Place on the stove, bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the carrots are tender. Drain and set aside.
- In a large sauté pan, place the cooked carrots and the orange juice. Cook over medium heat for an additional 5 minutes.
- Then, add in the butter, sugar, salt and pepper; cook an additional 3 minutes or until the sugar is dissolved and the butter melted. At this point, the orange glaze will have formed and it will be slightly thickened.
- Serve the carrots, with their juices, with a snipping of fresh chives.
