Black cherries are just about at their peak for the season.  Juicy and full of sweet goodness, I love using black cherries in fruit salads, savory sauces for grilled meats, desserts and even quick-and-easy appetizers like this one.  It all starts with crisp baked crostini topped with a flavorful spread of whole milk ricotta cheese and ground black pepper.  Then come the halved cherries, the chiffonade of fresh mint, and a drizzle of bold olive oil before devouring.  Bright, fresh, creamy and dreamy, my Black Cherry & Mint Crostini with Black Pepper Ricotta are completely irresistible.
