Haricots Verts with Hazelnuts & Gorgonzola
Ingredients:
- 1 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 8 oz. green beans, preferably haricots verts
- Salt & pepper
- Juice of 1 lemon
- ½ cup dry white wine
- ½ cup hazelnuts
- ¼ cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
Directions:
- In a large, straight-sided sauté pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add in the green beans and season with ½ teaspoon of salt and a grinding of black pepper. Cook, tossing often, for 5-7 minutes or until the green beans become lightly browned and tender.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and add in the lemon juice and white wine. Cook for an additional 5 minutes. Serve the green beans topped with the hazelnuts and crumbled cheese.
