This lovely recipe for a hearty vegetable-filled, open-faced tart starts with a simple and unique whole wheat dough.  A mixture of all-purpose and whole wheat flour, unsalted butter and a touch of apple cider vinegar give this crust a unique taste all-its-own. Save this dough recipe for pizzas, quiche or even savory hand pies—but start by filling it with a mixture of creamy ricotta cheese, tender Swiss chard, mushrooms and lemon zest as in this recipe for a ‘Swiss Chard & Mushroom Galette.’  I could even see serving this for brunch with a fried egg (or two) baked on top.
