You really can’t go wrong with a homemade blueberry muffin. What makes these moist blueberry muffins even more special is a shmear of a sweet, homemade banana butter. Courtesy of Food & Wine magazine, these are truly the best blueberry muffins I have ever tasted. I used half whole wheat flour and half all-purpose flour, plus the addition of old-fashioned oats in the batter which added that touch of nutty flavor that I love in a breakfast treat. Filled with the season’s plumpest blueberries, these are a morning time nibble not to be passed up.
