This is one of those pies that you make for a super special occasion. My super special occasion you ask? A recent, really fun weekend in Birmingham with my two sisters. Creamy and decadent, this buttermilk-coconut pie is topped with a homemade blackberry caramel sauce that is perfectly sweet and a lovely shade of pink. Hailing from Bobby Flay and featured in a recent Food & Wine magazine, this homemade pie is a perfect summertime celebration dessert. Oh, and I’m imaging the blackberry caramel portion of the recipe would be a great stand-alone recipe to make for a frozen yogurt or ice cream topping as well…
