This healthy vegetarian appetizer, courtesy of www.GOOP.com, the superb lifestyle blog and digital magazine created by Gwenyth Paltrow, is hearty and oh-so-flavorful.  The puree of toasted walnuts, caramelized onions and cooked lentils truly does resemble a pâté in texture!  Finished off with a sprinkling of smoked paprika or smoked pimento and this ‘Warm Walnut-Lentil Pâté’  is hard to resist.  I like to serve this dip with a stack of whole grain crackers and some crunchy celery as well.
