If you are like me and crave the briny taste of olives on a regular basis, then there is probably a jar of olives in your refrigerator as we speak. Olives are a wonderful way to liven up a variety of plates—an appetizer plate, a big bowl of pasta, or maybe even a salad. Staring at a container of mixed Greek olives coated in olive oil and herbs in my pantry yesterday, I had a hankering to try something new with the olives. I searched online at a fabulous recipe website, www.yummly.com, a lot of interesting recipes involving olives popped up. The one that caught my eye (and my appetite) first was a savory quick bread studded with chopped olives, rosemary and olive oil. A lovely mixture of whole wheat and all-purpose flour, this bread took no time at all and was irresistible. All it needs is a drizzling of olive oil before serving; this bread will transport you and your taste buds to the Mediterranean destination of your dreams.
