‘Chaussons aux Pommes’

WP_004398

These apple turnovers are a small slice of Paris. The most simple of ingredients—crisp apples, lemon juice, sugar and frozen puff pastry. No joke; that’s how simple these ‘Chaussons aux Pommes’ are to make, and let me tell you, even easier to eat.  Thanks to my good friend Jan from Baton Rouge, this recipe hails from Bon Appetit magazine and is a great recipe for entertaining weekend guests.  A simple technique to master, I would love to try this with cooked pears, or even a chocolate-hazelnut spread for a spin on the classic chocolate croissant.  Bon Appetit!
