Whatever spice mood you happen to be in, an easy entertaining idea for quick small bite are spiced Marcona almonds. Simply roast the nuts in a low temperature oven along with olive oil, salt, pepper and your spice or herb of choice. I was craving warm, spicy almonds so I used harissa powder; but I have also made these with chili powder and cumin, Herbes de Provence, and even dried lavender along with a touch of granulated sugar.
