Mardi Gras is a great holiday for a number of reasons: the feeling of celebration, the colors, the costumes, the tradition, and of course, the food and drink. I love putting a Mardi Gras menu together each year, whether for a larger group dinner or a quiet dinner for two. To celebrate this year, I have decided to make:
Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail
Chicken & Andouille Etouffee
Served over white rice
Buttermilk Cornbread
Sauteed Mustard Green with Tomatoes & Black-Eyed Peas
Traditional Galette des Rois
A cake originating from northern France made from puff pastry and a sweet almond custard filling
Whatever you decide to make, make it in good health and good cheer!

Yum! Let me know how the cake turns out…
Will do! Looking forward to making it. Enjoy your homemade King Cake! :>
Looks wonderful! Especially the cake. La Cooking has the recipe but there is some work involved. Enjoy!!
Happy Mardi Gras Mrs. Jan! 😊
