My Baked Ravioli is truly a crowd pleasing comfort dish.  Layers of marinara sauce, tender cheese-filled ravioli, and spinach, all topped off with the ultimate cheesy crust of mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese with specks of green parsley.  Baked in the oven until warm and cheesy on top, this dish is luxuriously unforgettable.

Baked Ravioli

  • Yield: 4-6
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Recipe type: entree

Ingredients:

  • 20 oz. store bought cheese ravioli
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 jar of marinara sauce, or 4 cups of homemade marinara sauce
  • 8 oz. frozen, chopped spinach, thawed and rung dry in a kitchen towel
  • 8 oz. fresh mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped Italian parsley

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large pot of salted, boiling water, cook the store bought ravioli for 3 minutes, or until they float to the surface. Drain and place on a baking sheet in a single layer so they do not stick together.
  2. Spray a casserole dish with cooking spray. Pour some of the marinara sauce into the dish, top with a layer of cooked ravioli, then some of the cooked spinach. Repeat the layers until the ravioli and spinach are finished, ending with marinara sauce. Top the dish with the mozzarella cheese, parmesan and parsley. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned and the cheese in melted. Serve warm.
