Making homemade crumpets (which are very similar to English muffins) is easier than you think. The only tool you will have to buy online or from your favorite local cooking store are the metal crumpet/English Muffin rings. The crumpet dough is a simple 6-ingredient, yeast-based dough made with bread flour.  You cook the dough in the metal rings until browned on both sides, then you transfer the crumpets to the oven to finish off the cooking process. I love, love, love serving crumpets with lemon curd and a drizzle of melted butter.  These are the perfect weekend breakfast treat when served with fresh fruit and a creamy cappuccino.
